There are two immediate full funded PhD positions in my lab. The students will work on developing and applying micro and nanotechnologies in the fields of central nervous system disease research and cellular biomechanics. One project is to build a microfluidic blood-brain barrier model in collaboration with WVU Health Sciences Center and another project is to investigate how stem cell behavior is regulated by nanotopographies.
The applicants with experience in cell biology and microfabrication (in particular, microfluidics) will be favorably considered.
The students are expected to start in the fall semester of 2015.
