The WZB Social Science Center welcomes applications for two positions as Doctoral Researcher
with 65% of the regular working hours (currently 25.35 hours/week) for four years starting
in October 2017 for the WZB Junior Research Group “Ethics and Behavioral Economics”
headed by Dr. Agne Kajackaite. The research group aims to understand unethical behavior,
particularly lying behavior, by conducting economic lab experiments. Further topics in the
research focus of the group are incentives, risk preferences, and ignorance.
Tasks:
You are asked to contribute substantially to the research of the Junior Research Group,
especially in developing new ideas, the modelling of experiments and the publication of
individual and joint research, including holding presentations at (international) conferences.
The WZB highly welcomes further qualification towards a doctorate.
Requirements:
– Master in Economics or Management from an internationally acknowledged institution;
– Very good knowledge of game theory;
– Strong interest in original research on behavioral economics;
– Very good command of English, knowledge of German is not compulsory;
– Distinctive creativity;
– Very good team and communication abilities;
– Desirable: successful completion of a structured Ph.D.-Program (e.g. BDPEMS in Berlin);
– Desirable: initial experience in experimental economic research;
Remuneration: Group EG 13 TVöD (in accordance with the German public sector
collective agreement)
