Within the framework of the DFG-funded Research Training Network GRK 2064, we invite applications for the PhD project “Genetic control of reproductive development under drought in barley”.
The project involves the phenotypic characterization of barley reproductive development in response to drought and the molecular analysis of stress-controlled flowering using high-throughput RNA sequencing.
Applicants are expected to have completed their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in a life science subject or agriculture with very good grades, preferably with a focus on plant genetics, molecular plant sciences or bioinformatics. Fluent spoken and written English language skills are essential.
