Position Description
The Institute of Electrodynamics, Microwave and Circuit Engineering (Circuit Engineering Group) of Technische Universität Wien is offering a job for a research assistant, starting April 1st, 2018. The job is a full time position (40 hours per week), salary bracket B 1.
The minimum gross salary is 2.794,60 € per month (14 times per year).
The position is financed by a FWF project lasting for 3 years, investigating single photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) and avalanche photo diodes (APDs) for interferometric distance measurements. Goal is the development of optoelectronic integrated circuits for the detector and the development of laser systems for these applications.
The position will be preferably given to persons without completed PhD thesis.
Necessary requirements: Completed Magister, Diploma, or Master studies in Electrical Engineering or equivalent studies in Austria or abroad. Fundamental knowledge in microelectronics and photonics.
Further qualifications: Full custom design of analog integrated circuits. Automation of measurement setups (with LabVIEW and MATLAB).
