Position Description
The Chan Lab in the Department of a Chemistry at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) is seeking a synthetic chemist to join our interdisciplinary research team. Our program is focused on the development of small-molecule chemical probes for in vivo imaging and early diagnostics of cancer using photoacoustic tomography. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry. Preferred candidates should have strong scientific problem solving skills, ability to analyze and interpret experimental data, ability to communicate results in a concise manner both verbally and in writing, and have a solid track record of scientific achievement as documented by peer-reviewed scientific journal publications.
