The objectives for this postion are to study, by image analysis, histopathological patterns and features of TripleNegativeBreastCancer (TNBC), together with IHC, genetic and clinical information, in order to improve the reproducibility and prognostic value of the pathology diagnosis and classification for this subgroup of breast cancers with the worst prognostic outcome.

To study by image analysis and computational pathology TNBC patients.
Tasks are to classify and annotate a database of TNBC-patients; use IHC (immune system) and genetic analyses (microRNA) to further subtype TNBC.
To develop or help to develop algorithms based on histological and IHC images that can identify different prognostic subtypes within the group of TNBC patients.

Candidates with a medical university degree without letter grades will be admitted after special assessment.
We are looking for applicants with experience in relevant fields such as pathology, medical artificial intelligence, image analyses and/ or molecular biology, preferably acquired recently as this is a fast moving field; or possess corresponding qualifications that could provide a basis for successfully completing a doctorate.
Applicants, at the date of recruitment, must comply with the following conditions:
1. be in the first four years* of his/her research career and not have a doctoral degree.
2. not have resided in the country of the recruiting beneficiary for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the recruitment date (and not have carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in that country).
* is measured from the date when a researcher obtained the degree which would formally entitle him or her to embark on a doctorate, either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the researcher is recruited. Master students who finish the master in 2019-2020 could apply for CLARIFY positions if they include a letter of commitment to ensure the master’s conclusion in 2019-2020 and their enrolment in a PhD program in 2020-2021.
