PhD Student

My name is Fahd Saeed Alakbari and I have done the master program (8 courses+ thesis) at King Fahd University of Petroleum and minerals in Saudi Arabia in January 2017. I have graduated from petroleum engineering with 3.469/4 GPA. All instructions ( i.e. classwork, assignments, and practical works) in master program is English. I’m searching for a good scholarship with my Ph.D. program for acceptance. A careful observation of my documents reveals that in addition to my high GPA, I have also reasonable experimental experience. I conducted the experiments using different equipments such as HPHT rheometer and sag test equipment. I have two diploma in the computer (Computer Applications and Computer Maintenance). I know very well about laboratory safety in the labs. I have also a good knowledge and experience in advanced well stimulation such as formation damage, sandstone acidizing and carbonate acidizing. I have excellent experience in artificial intelligence in petroleum engineering such as artificial neural network and fuzzy logic tool. I took some workshops in reservoir simulation such as matlab, Petrel and CMG software. I have completed a master thesis in drilling fluid by using nanoparticles to improve the properties of the drilling fluid. However, I am flexible to study the Ph.D. program in another discipline. My main motivation for applying to your prestigious university is to satisfy my ambition of attaining a doctorate degree in a high-ranking university such as Curtin University and gaining international expanse. I have published one paper in SPE conference (184208-MS). In fact, two more paper is about to be published soon one in SEP conference and another in Energy& Fuel journal.
Previously, I worked as a petroleum engineer in the Calvalley Company in Yemen. In addition to this experience, I worked in safety system, Drilling operations, labs analysis, water injection, chemical injection, relief system, flare system, CPF, ESDS, separators, heaters, gas knockout, air compressors, oil export, pumps and types of ESP.
