PhD Scholarships in the CMS experiment at LHC/CERN

In the framework of the Doctoral Programme FCT IDPASC-Portugal, applications to PhD Scholarships for thesis subjects proposed by researchers of the LIP-CMS group are opened from 20th June to 17th July 2017.
The following PhD thesis subjects in the CMS experiment are available:
• Development of new high-precision timing detectors for HL-LHC
• Machine learning techniques in the search for double Higgs production
• Search for anomalous gauge couplings and new resonances in photon fusion processes
• Search for new physics via rare processes
• Search for the charged Higgs boson in proton-proton collisions
• Search for the SUperSYmmetric partner of the top quark
• Decays of the Higgs boson in two tau leptons and measurement of Higgs couplings
