Our research group at the Institute for Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, University of Lübeck, is looking for a PhD student.
The project deals with the function of HCA2 as a drug target. At the interface of metabolism and the immune system, activation of HCA2 has effects on various tissues and cell types in the body (J Clin Invest 2014, 124: 2188-2192; Nat Commun 2014, 5: 3944; Trends Mol Med 2015, 21: 245-255; Front Immunol 2018, 9: 1890). Now we would like to dissect the role of potential target cells.
We are looking for an enthusiastic scientist who holds a degree in biology, biochemistry, medicine, or related subjects. A background in molecular biology or translational research would be helpful.
The salary will be paid according TV-L, E13.
Weekly working time is 65 %.
The position is initially limited for 3 years.
