Position Description
Project title : Development of an analysis tool for the quantification of the effect of super heavy loads on pavements
The project aims to develop a methodology and a practical tool to assess the effect of super heavy loads on various pavement types and to assess the risks associated. The specific objectives are :
– To develop a 3D numerical model to analyze the mechanical response of flexible pavements submitted to a complex loading from multiple axles – multiple tires of specialty vehicles;
– To develop and implement incremental pavement damage laws resulting from super heavy vehicles loading;
– To develop and implement embankments failure models for super heavy vehicles loading;
