Dr. Yingjie Lao is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Clemson University. Fully funded PhD positions in the broad areas of hardware security, VLSI architecture, electronic design automation, circuit design and data mining are available in Dr. Yingjie Lao’s group. Most of the research projects will center around “how to design digital circuits efficiently and securely”

The position requires that the candidate has a background or interest in the broad fields of VLSI, circuits, digital signal processing, security, and/or data mining. Solid programming skills (C/C++/MATLAB/Verilog) are desirable. Experience in hardware security, cyber security, cryptography, or computer-aided design of VLSI circuit would be a big plus.
