Position Description

Two Ph.D. students are to admitted, one each in the area of (a) Cell-sound interaction, and
(b) Modulators of microbial quorum-sensing as potential anti-infectives.

(a) This project involves investigation of the effect of sonic frequencies on microbial growth, metabolism, and gene expression. It has been funded by GUJCOST.

(b) This project involves in vitro / in vivo/ in silico experiments regarding investigation of quourum-sensing inhibitory potential of various natural / synthetic products. Gene expression studies will also be a part of it.
