YOUR TASKS
– Investigation of mechanical behavior of frozen granular materials
– Modeling of mechanical behavior using the discrete element method (DEM)
– Development of micromechanical models including experimental validation
– Determination of structure-property relationships
YOUR PROFILE
– University degree, in particular in Process Engineering, Material Science, Computational Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or similar
– Knowledge of structural mechanics, preferably of granular materials
– Knowledge in numerical modeling (e.g. FEM, DEM, CFD) and/or programming (e.g. C++)
– Strong communication skills both spoken and written
