Graduate Student Positions Available:
Master’s and Ph.D. student positions are available in the Multifunctional Composites Manufacturing Laboratory (MCML) in Mechanical Engineering Program, The School of Engineering, The University of Vermont, USA.

The position is immediately available and open until filled. These positions are financially supported through GTA or GRA.
The main theme of the research is “Advanced Manufacturing Technology for Smart and Lightweight Polymeric and Hybrid Materials”. The research areas will include: Macromolecular Materials, Micro-/Nano-Additive Manufacturing (3D printing), Multifunctional Smart Materials, Micro-/Nano-layered Materials, Nanocomposites, Micro-/Nano-cellular lightweight materials, Computational Fluid Dynamics Simulation, Rheological Behaviour, Viscoelasticity, Thermophysical properties, Supercritical Fluid Processing, Statistical Analysis/Optimization.
Some research projects in progress include: (i) Melt electrospun microfibers for biomedical applications, (ii) Biopolymer foaming, (iii) Sustainable water membrane filter design, (iv) Freeform molecular helices — Tiny springs for strong & flexible materials, (v) Multi-functional 3D printing, (vi) Structural foam injection molding.
