Position Description

We seek a motivated Ph.D. student to strengthen our highly interactive and collaborative team. The project integrates biochemical and cell biological approaches to understand the molecular mechanisms of abiotic stress regulation through the gibberellin pathway and DELLA proteins in Arabidopsis and tomato. The ideal applicant shows a strong interest in protein biochemistry, cell biology and has a background in plant biology. The project is integrated into the SFB924, a very active Munich-based plant science network (

The Chair of Plant Systems Biology has expertise in a broad spectrum of molecular, cell biological, biochemical and genetic techniques, as well as in confocal microscopy. The laboratory has access to all techniques and equipment required to do state-of-the-art plant research.
