The Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics seeks to fill the position of a

Doctoral researcher in immunobiology (m/f/d)

commencing on 15 September 2021 or at the earliest possible date

to work on the role of B cells in Candida albicans infections in a joint project of the department of Cell Biology at the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics and the research group Microbial Immunology at the Hans Knöll Institute Jena.

Your responsibilities:
• Develop, coordinate, manage and publish research projects within the field of B cell immunology of Candida albicans infections
• Support faculty teaching in the area of Cell Biology
• Work on an own scientific qualification project: your doctorate

Your profile
• Master’s degree in the area of biology, biochemistry or other life sciences
• Knowledge in the areas of immune and infection biology
• Readiness to work in animal models

This is a part-time position with 65% of the working hours of a full-time employee (26 hours per week).
