The International Max Planck Research School IMPRS “From Molecules to Organisms” is a collaboration between the Max Planck Institute for Biology Tübingen, the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory and the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen, Germany.
We provide excellent interdisciplinary training across the disciplines of structural, molecular, cellular and developmental biology as well as bioinformatics, genomics and evolutionary biology.
We aim to endow the next generation of scientists with the knowledge and skills to study complex biological processes, which cannot be adequately understood within the limits of single disciplines, in the context of entire organisms.
IMPRS PhD students tackle research projects bridging the gap from molecules to living organisms. Transcending the boundaries of traditional life science disciplines, methodologies and scientific approaches from different fields are combined to address topics inaccessible by isolated research areas.
You can find out more about the IMPRS Faculty members (https://www.phd.tuebingen.mpg.de/4153/faculty) and all available projects (https://www.phd.tuebingen.mpg.de/14722/phdprojects) on our webpage.
