PhD program in Electronics, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering

The PhD course in Electronics, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering (IEIE) is activated within the School of Advanced Doctoral Education (SAFD) at the University of Pavia (http://phd.unipv.it/) and is mainly supported by professors and researchers of the Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering of the University of Pavia. The course is organised into three main curricula:

– Photonics, Microwave Technologies and Communication Systems
– Computer Science and Automation
– Industrial Engineering.

The IEIE PhD course aims to train researchers with advanced methodological and technical knowledge, through the practice of scientific research at national and international level in leading sectors of Engineering.

This objective is pursued through three actions:
– dedicated courses on the main emerging research topics in research areas covered by the PhD program
– courses and activities aimed at expanding skills in the field of scientific communication and projects writing
– development of an original research project assigned by the PhD board.

IEIE PhD program is characterized by a strong collaboration with national and international companies and industrial stakeholders that financially support several fellowships and are involved both in seminar activities and in specific courses aimed at PhD students.
