Position Responsibilities:
1. Design steel and/or concrete buildings for gravity & seismic loads in accordance with current building codes.
2. Perform linear and nonlinear analyses using software such as ETABS, SAP2000. Nonlinear analyses I using PERFORM would be plus.
3. Perform seismic evaluations & design seismic rehabilitation of existing buildings per ASCE 41 would be plus.
4. Work effectively as part of team and independently.
5. Prepare construction plans and develop details.
6. Perform quality control.
7. Revit and Navisworks experience would be plus.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A Ph.D. in structural and/or earthquake engineering.
2. Academic coursework in Structural Dynamics, Advanced Structural Analyses, Finite Element Method, etc.
3. Academic coursework for design of steel and concrete structures.
4. Some exposure to American codes, e.g. ACI-318, AISC-341/358/360, UBC/IBC, ASCE 41, etc.
5. Some exposure to commercial software, e.g. ETABS, SAP2000, PERFORM, etc.
6. Ability to speak, read, and write English.
