Position Description


Our research group at the Institute for Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, University of Lübeck, is looking for a PhD student.

The Institute for Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology is mainly concerned with the communication between brain and periphery. The current project deals with the metabolomic characterization of tanycytes in the hypothalamus. Tanycytes form the interface between blood, cerebrospinal fluid and brain tissue. In a project funded by the European Research Council, we investigate their function. The applicant will work on a project aiming at single cell analysis by mass spectrometry.

We are looking for a PhD student with a master (or equivalent) degree in chemistry, biology, or related subjects at the earliest possible date, initially limited to three years.

What distinguishes you:
– You have a degree in in chemistry, biology, or related subjects
– You have a background in mass spectrometry or neurosciences and you are interested in the underlying technical principles

– You will be assigned to pay group 13 TV-L (65%).
